Summer is just around the corner and while there are a number of cocktails you could choose from, it’s best to select ones that are the most refreshing. You will thank yourself for it later if you plan on spending ample time in front of the grill while entertaining guests. The other great thing about this round up is the cocktails are easy to make and a handful of them have some of the same ingredients.

1. The Classic Margarita

You can never go wrong with a classic. Salt around the rim is the usual choice but I personally can’t stand when my Margarita taste salty. If that bothers you ask for sugar on the rim, it’s a sweet change.

Ingredients: Tequila, Lime Juice, Sugar and Cointreau

2. Mojito

Refreshing is an understatement. Mojitos have a never failed me; not even once. For some, mint can be a turn off and it usually is for me too but the Mojito has changed that. Try it you might like it.

Ingredients: Mint, Lime, Sugar, Rum and Club Soda

3. Classic Martini

I had my first Martini for my 23rd birthday and it was definitely the best decision I made. Now I need my occasional Lemon Drop fix whenever I go out. There are so many ways you can make it and so many flavors to try. If you’re going to serve Martinis at a summer party I would highly suggest having both the classic and the Lemon Drop.

Ingredients: Gin, Dry Vermouth

4. Sangria

Sangria has definitely grown on me. I started drinking it about a year ago and it truly is amazing. Not only does it taste great it is so easy to make. Red Sangria taste better to me but I think this summer I’m going to try a few combinations with white wine. Carlo Rossi has amazing Sangria and it is already made for you, the only thing you need to do is add fruit and put it in a nice pitcher.

Ingredients: Any Wine + Fruit

5. French 75

I’m a huge citrus girl so this cocktail has my name written all over it. It also has champagne so naturally I can’t say no.  If you have noticed by now champagne has so many uses and can be added to so many mixes to make great cocktails. Keep a bottle around you never know what you’ll need it for.

Ingredients: Champagne, Gin, Lemon Juice and Simple Syrup
